NEW YORK – J.F. Lehman & Company, a leading middle-market private equity firm focused on the defense, aerospace and maritime sectors, recently announced the promotions of Glenn Shor to Vice President and William Hanenberg to Associate. Messrs. Shor and Hanenberg are involved in all aspects of the firm's business, from identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities to active involvement in the oversight of the firm's portfolio companies.
Mr. Shor has been a member of the firm since January 2010. Previously, Mr. Shor was a private equity investment professional with D.E. Shaw & Co. where he was involved in numerous transactions from origination through execution and portfolio management. Mr. Shor also served as an associate at Providence Equity Partners, a private investment firm that manages funds with more than $20 billion in equity commitments, where he evaluated leveraged buyout and growth equity investments. Mr. Shor began his finance career as an analyst in Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division in New York. He received a B.S., magna cum laude, from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, with majors in Finance and International Business and a minor in Fine Arts.
Mr. Hanenberg joined J.F. Lehman & Company two years ago as a Senior Analyst. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hanenberg was at Banc of America Securities where he was an investment banking analyst in the Global Industrials Group. His prior experience also includes analyst positions at Redwood Capital Group (a technology-focused M&A boutique) and Dealogic. Mr. Hanenberg earned a B.S. in economics from Duke University and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.
